Inner Spirit Studio

The old home page opened on a blurred photo of someone else's class. Now it opens on their own room, filmed in the morning light, with the week's classes and a first-class offer one scroll down.

How it convertsPasses are bought without leaving the site: the booking system's checkout opens inside the studio's own panel, with the photo, the price and what is included beside it.

Private wealth · Montclair

Cressley House

A stock handshake used to greet forty families. Now it's the firm's name, set like a private bank's.

How it convertsThe ask is an hour in the library, with no proposal brought to it, and a line for the adult child writing on a parent's behalf.

Before
Custom builders · Essex County

Halloran & Sons

Scroll, and a house goes up on its lot, week by week, from stakes to keys.

How it convertsThe ask is a place on a real site walk, a job in progress, instead of a sales call.

Calder & Wynn, the new first screen
The old site
Before
Law firm · West Orange

Calder & Wynn

The partners and their phone number had been buried in a 2009 sidebar. Both are on the first screen now.

How it convertsVisitors choose what happened, and the right partner reads it. The first meeting is free, and the page says so.

Before
Country inn · Hunterdon County

The Inn at Wren Hollow

A Flash intro nobody could open gave way to the hills at dawn.

How it convertsNext season's months, the taken ones struck through, priced in the open. One wedding a weekend makes the scarcity true.

Architects · Montclair

Fenn & Aske

Drawn in cobalt ink as you scroll, the way the two of them sketch a house.

How it convertsA first visit sold as a small, fixed thing: two hours, $450 credited against the work, and a sketch you keep.

Design-build interiors · Montclair

Linden & Lathe

The slideshow is gone. Their rooms sit right inside the sentence.

How it convertsChoose a room and see what the last ten cost in Montclair, before anyone asks for your number.

Pell & Daughter, the new first screen
The old site
Before
Independent insurance · Maplewood

Pell & Daughter

A grid of insurers' logos made way for one family name and a number that rings on Maplewood Avenue.

How it convertsSend a photo of your policy and Ellen Pell reads it herself. The brand line became the way in.

Ashby & Rowe, the new first screen
The old site
Before
Accountants · Caldwell

Ashby & Rowe

Plain words about taxes, set as calmly as a good book, in place of a sidebar of links and a deadline table.

How it convertsThe round button counts the new returns left before April, and anyone holding an IRS letter gets a faster door.
