The Inn at Wren Hollow
  • Since 1790
  • Eleven rooms
  • One wedding a weekend

A country inn, a restaurant and a wedding barn on ninety acres in the Hunterdon hills of New Jersey.

Wren Hollow

Wren Hollow The inn

The tavern has stood on this rise since 1790. We have kept it for forty years, and we still live upstairs.

The front door of an old red-brick building: a dark panelled door with a brass handle under a fanlight, a young maple turning orange beside it.

Coaches between New York and Philadelphia stopped here for the night. The stable they left their horses in is the carriage house, and it holds eleven rooms now.

We cook what the farm across the lane grows, serve dinner five nights a week, and hold one wedding a weekend, so the whole place belongs to that one wedding.
